I wanted to explore my local community gardens, or P-Patches as they are called here in the Northwest, and capture the essence of these organic places; the plants, soil, water and sunlight. I like the idea of these rural plots of land amidst our urban environment with their own unique cycle of seed, growth, harvest, and returning back to fallow. I am also drawn to the clear devotion and care that goes into the creation of these gardens, where one establishes a connection with the earth and nourishes the body & soul.
